The temporary track for the 2022 UCI BMX Racing World Championships and World Challenge will be installed at the Nantes Exhibition Hall (la Beaujoire) throughout July.
Two weeks before the World Championships, it will also host the 2022 French BMX Racing Championships .
This will be a great opportunity for the French team to familiarise themselves with the specific challenges that this track poses.
At 450 m long it will set quite a pace: four straights peppered with bumps and three turns (two left and one right, the last two at 90°) and very few flats. It has been designed to be fast, and the contest promises to be spectacular!
In the Elite category, the men should complete the course in 34 seconds and the women in 38 seconds. The Elite, Contenders and Juniors categories will start from the 8m ridge, although participants in the World Challenge will start from the 5m ridge.
Spectators around the track will have a clear view of the entire course. The winning post and judges will be in the centre of the track, spectators in the stands around the track will not miss a single trick!
The riders are waiting only for you to push them to the limit!
See below the 3D models of the track.
